Local Man Chases Dream: Government Job
Grand Junction Free Press 11-21-2007:Grand Junction Mayor Jim Doody will announce he’s running for Mesa County Commissioner at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday in front of the Old Mesa County Courthouse. “The big thing will be trying to get on the ballot. That will be tough,” Doody said. He was part of the decisions to connect Seventh and Main streets with a roundabout, have the city take over emergency medical services and championed overriding the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights to save taxpayers $10-$12 million in Riverside Parkway debt by paying the parkway debt off sooner.
