PROVIDING KNOWLEDGE AND INSIGHT FOR THOSE RIDING DRAGON SHIPS ON THE SEAS OF CULTURE AND POLITICS
A Couple of Things To Take a Gander at over the Weekend
The first thing that is interesting is from Michael Calderon's blog at The Politico, where he discusses some rough handling of a reporter trying to question Obama's CIA director designate Leon Panetta. An experienced reporter who got a little roughed up when he got a little too close to the guy: you know, like asking him a question he apparently didn't like. Luckily, Panetta had some muscle along to take care of the problem. This administration really is shaping up to be something special. Click on the above paragraph for an interesting read.
Another thing is the release of the movie and DVD produced by Newt Gingrich and his wife called, "Ronald Reagan: Rendezvous with Destiny". Looks like quite a good production, if you're interested in seeing some more on it or might want to order the DVD click on this paragraph.
Another observation is the story concerning Steve King's bill requiring twice a year safety drills in public schools. The bill was killed for, as near as I can tell, something to do with costs but the story is well, a bit snarky. Funny, I don't remember quite this take on bills proposed by Mr. Buescher-- but I'm sure I'm incorrect. On the other hand, I may have been known to crack wise a time or two myself.
