As Gary Harmon pointed out in his column, "The Architect" Karl Rove feels that Colorado is one of the four battleground states of import this presidential election.
He also points out that Mesa County is key to the states movement. This of course is well known to those who follow the state's politics although still sometimes seems a mystery to those running for statewide office.
This probably explains the Obama campaign opening up an office here and small but enthusiastic groups of city kids wandering aimlessly around town looking for WiFi spots, busily texting each other on their iphones and just hop'in; oh and change'in- can't forget that.
Perhaps at some point we will be able to move into the solutions and accomplishment area of the campaign.
Not for the B.O. supporters though-their candidate is a little thin on that stuff.
