I Have Been Traveling This Last Week-Returned to find Songs of the Loon Being Sung Loudly-First City Council Song: Rec Center

So now the Council is being asked to consider another sales tax increase for April.

This is just fantastic news.

First, a strangely shrunken Riverside Parkway project comes to a close (more on that in a few days).

Then the city burns through tax dollars promoting -- only until the law will force them to stop -- a wildly grandiose building project purportedly for law enforcement, although they will not peel that off and let the citizens decide on it by itself.

And now a stately pleasure dome they are asked to decree.

We might even need some kind of rec/meeting center but no one's going to get anything with this kind of nonsense.

And they shouldn't with this kind of leadership.
For instance here are two quotes from the Daily Sentinel story of today;
... I think that would lend itself well to me considering
putting it on the ballot.
That way I’m seeing some
community support. I think I’d need to have a discussion

with our council.”

Boy that's for sure, is their anybody who doesn't
think this person should be sent
home after the
April elections to spend more time putting this
kind of thinking
down for posterity. He wants t
o be one of the two extra commissioners

if the voters approve.
We are pretty sure they know better.

Next we have the view from...somewhere:

An April ballot worries me a little bit because
we’ve got four council seats up
(for election).
For me, it’s a little bit of the cart before the
horse because
I haven’t given a lot of thought
to the (April) ballot issues.”

Please turn your decoder ring to the Huh? setting.
Wonderful smart gal,
little thin on the real world stuff.

We are the changed people we have all been waiting for-
Does that sound too presidential?
