Apparently in response to the City Council seemingly refusing to pass legislation that is in accord with the Supreme Court's ruling on the city's handgun ban; the House of Representatives has had legislation introduced to remove the city's jurisdiction over such firearms.
Laudably enough, legislation has been co-authored by some conservative Democrats and according to published reports it may stand a fair chance of passage in the House. Click on the text of this story to go to that article.
