Boulder City Council Wants Noncitizens to Serve on City Commissions -- Council Doesn't Act like They're American Citizens Usually Anyway

I have printed this in many colors to show our planetary diversity

In a controversial move, the Boulder city Council has asked to remove the requirement that persons serving on city commissions be citizens of the United States.

They hope to remove the requirement that persons appointed to the city commissions, which serve an important part in the planning and development of the city, be registered electors.

What this means is that a person has to be a registered voter which still, although barely, requires citizenship.

By removing this requirement non-citizens or theoretically, illegal aliens can serve on Boulders important city boards.

Having lived in Boulder for some time it seemed to me that many on the planning commissions and in city government were aliens.
Space aliens but aliens nonetheless.
