The Second Amendment Might Actually Be Properly Interpreted; New York Times Hysterically Tries to Encourage State Legislatures To Clamp Down on Guns

As many know, the United States Supreme Court has recently heard arguments concerning the constitutionality of the District of Columbia's total ban on handgun possession.

During arguments it was apparent that even the so-called swing Justices were leaning towards striking down the Districts ban as at least overly broad and more likely in contravention of the establishment of an individual right to firearms possession.

Anticipating this the Justice Department has filed briefs indicating that should they find the Second Amendment to be a personal right as opposed to a societal one then the Justice Department has asked the Justices to impose what is fundamentally a lower level of protections or guarantees than say,the First Amendment.

This is a rare move and vigorously opposed.

This topsy-turvy world has thrown the Times into a veritable tizzy particularly when we now have Hillary Clinton making remarks in Pennsylvania indicating that she has been a pistol packing mama for some time.

In response to yet another unanticipated turn of events thwarting the liberal agenda, the Times has chosen to do a story on how state legislatures are cracking down on gun ownership.

Even a simpleton, can see this bit of sophistry as obvious encouragement and call to arms for state legislatures to take action prior to the Supreme Court decision announcement this summer.

Story link is here. It's getting to be a tough ride for the Times and all those upper West side types who thought everything was going to go their way this year
