Obama Reverses Course on the Reverend-- But Will Colorado Dems Call Him "Both Ways Barack"?

After several days of demonstrating that he had absolutely no idea whatsoever how to address the comments of his long time spiritual adviser and inspirational figure the Reverend Jeremiah Wright; Mr. Obama has given up and gone the other way.

Today, after witnessing the Reverend's bizarrely cartoonish performance at the National Press Club and perhaps observing his own conflicting explanations of a relationship he enjoyed for over 20 years and had sermons sent to him when he was away in school -he tried to salvage something of his deflating campaign.

In a series of comments attempting to place himself somewhere near Pluto in relation to the Reverend; Obama denounced Wright and his comments after previously saying that he could no more disown the Reverend than he could the black community

Some serious weakness must be revealing itself in other campaign tracking polls as Hillary Clinton, no great debater herself, has been challenging Obama to a series of non-moderated public debates on the issues.

No doubt she and her staff have seen the Senator from Illinois in his unscripted appearances on various news outlets where he appears confused, repetitive and weak.

The national GOP has also now committed $500,000 to advertising linking various congressional candidates to Mr. Obama.

Since the national GOP is not exactly overflowing with money at this point it would seem that internal polling and focus group analysis is showing that if things continue on the present course, associations with Mr. Obama will become damaging.

Even if Mr. Obama somehow weathers this present storm there still remains the problem of his association with Weather Underground member Tom Ayers and the continuing revelations from the Tony Rezko trial.

If his performance on explaining these types of situations does not improve, he will not only be the candidate who has fallen to earth but the one that started digging when he got there.
