District Attorney Flushes Legislator -- Sometimes You Have To Force Them Out Of the Bushes

After the Democrat dominated legislature had been demonstrating its antipathy towards law enforcement for some time, Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger took them to task at the recent Republican convention.

One of the major issues has been removal of the ability for district attorneys to charge individuals under 18 years as adults if they commit certain types of crimes.

Inexplicably, Democrat Bernie Buescher, although not mentioned by name during Hautzinger's, speech apparently felt some heat. Recently he announced that he did not support the change, although interestingly enough he did so in the context of a floor vote as opposed to dealing with it in committee where his newly found opposition might have kept the bill from progressing even to that point.

The local broadsheet, ever defensive of their favorite Democrat was agog at the notion that that he might even be indirectly criticized.

Rumormongers tell The War on Wrong that Buescher was recently trying to encourage someone to run against the popular Hautzinger.

We suppose when one is immune to criticism a bit might seem like a lot.
