Ritter Proposes Health Care Reform Ideas, Again-Because the State has So Much Extra Money


In an often unintentionally funny discussion, Governor Ritter proposes to rescue the worlds best health care system-with more government.

Since the problem is cost, not quality it is unclear how direct intervention by the government will affect price (in a positive way) without affecting quality. The problem is, in many ways, already attributable to third-party payment systems and the disconnect of the consumer from the payment. There is no way to shop and compare with this system.

Maybe if we allowed tax free medical payment accounts, we might be able to introduce the market back into the system. In the most amusing quote in the Rocky Mountain News article:

driving down costs, and increasing transparency."
