A photo from the annual Fourth of July parade in a little artist community outside of Taos New Mexico. I usually go down there but this year I went a few days early and my brother-in-law sent me this; which is a great flavor of the parade. Every year it seems less about America and more about, well… I think you'll get the idea. This is the only parade I had ever been to that Code Pink had a significant presence. One year, they had giant papier-mâché figures that I found out were supposed to represent peace and justice but were pretty hard to figure out what they were and why they were there. So all in all, they were a pretty good representation of the group...ed
