Some people have written in and pointed out how little we know about President Obama. And when one stops and considers how examined the lives of most of our national politicians have become, the difference is truly striking.
We know nothing really about his growing up in Indonesia and practically nothing about his mother, father or stepfather. We now have a president who uses a name that is completely different from the one he used for part of his life and other than two biographies, apparently written by him and yet containing very few answers to these questions, we have little data.
Here is just a partial list of some of the things that we would like to know and traditionally demanded before a politician even is seriously considered to be president.

This is part of the reason why his initial popularity is plummeting so rapidly. For many voters it is hard to maintain loyalty and trust in what is essentially a two dimensional media creation.
