Everybody within earshot of a radio or television knows that the state of California has gone from bust to busted with an economic plan that makes Paris Hilton seem like a shrewd financial analyst. So what should be their reward?
Well, if the census plans go through as has been indicated it may very well be another congressional seat or two at the movable feast of pork at the US Capitol.
That's because as it stands now the census as directed by the Obama ministration intends to count illegal aliens as part of the 2010 census which will determine the allocation of congressional seats by state.
I thought I would bring this up since we're so concerned about the Cap and Tax bill and the healthcare invasion being mounted by the left we can sometimes get distracted from the other magic tricks being performed on our Republic.
You can read little bit about the story here from the CNS news service "The acting director of the U.S. Census Bureau, Thomas Mesenbourg, told CNSNews.com that the bureau intends to work with community organizations to make sure every illegal alien in the United States is counted in the 2010 Census."
Unfortunately, it doesn't get much better after that but it remains an important issue and should still be simmering on the back burner of people who want to not see their representation diluted by non-citizen participation.
Remember, unless we change the number of representatives upward, then as one state gains population for the purpose of the census and acquires a congressional seat, someone loses one. We're just saying--pay attention.
