PROVIDING KNOWLEDGE AND INSIGHT FOR THOSE RIDING DRAGON SHIPS ON THE SEAS OF CULTURE AND POLITICS
July 15, 1979 -- a day to live in infamy: for Jimmy Carter, this is the anniversary of his famous "malaise" speech
That's right folks, this is the anniversary of the speech that probably gave an extra couple of states to Ronald Reagan in the next year's election.
Some may remember and some may simply have heard about the "Smiling Peanut's" approach to governance during his single, yet too long term in office. The number of errors, over estimations of his own ability and underestimation's of the world's snickering, eventually led to his conclusion that our country was not successful during his administration due to the populations too high expectations of what America could accomplish.
Not long after this he was plucked from office and marched off the field into what should have been well-deserve obscurity. He has popped up recently to pester us with more attempts to undermine the American dream.
