I'm not sure how many people are aware of the wildly improper influence that the Obama administration seems be wielding as part of the new bankruptcy process of the automakers.
In all situations the government is supposed to keep its nose out of of the court proceedings, especially when it is essentially a party or a guarantor/owner as in the Chrysler and General Motors proceedings. That doesn't appear to be the case as you can see by reading the article here or just using the normal forms a perception that any human employees by reading the news.
This administration appears to be ignoring any attempt at preserving the independence of the judiciary in this matter and pushing the bankruptcy court to not use its judgment but to substitute the wishes of the Executive Branch. We have become so numb by the speed and repetition of these extra--constitutional activities that we almost don't notice the growing imperial nature of the presidency, just in the last six months.
With this kind of interference we may just blow right past the French example of socialism and land on the doorstep of Argentina.
