Does Anyone Know How Many Employees the State Has?
According to the website facethestate.com one state representative trying to find out how many employees were on the state payroll he was met with a certain amount of incredulity since they were unable to give him an answer.
State rep Rep. Don Marostica asked to get the figure, probably anticipating that it would be no big deal to get a number of how many employees were receiving state paychecks. The answer he received was that there really wasn't an answer at all; except they might be able to give him a range of employees according to the website:
"Marostica says the Colorado Department of Transportation is one of the worst offenders. CDOT can only estimate how many employees it has within 250 people. Marostica says it is because there are so many part-time and seasonal employees within the department. CDOT was unavailable for immediate comment."
Click on this posting to go to the original article as it seems that the representative is going to have to employ some long division to determine how many people are drawing state paychecks- we wish him well and will be interested to find out the answer.
