Stimulus Bill Continues to Stink up the Joint the Longer it Lays In the Sun

What has been really interesting to watch about this legislation has been despite the persistent fear mongering to get it passed, public support is rapidly eroding. The Rasmussen public opinion company has watched this rapid drop with interest;

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure.

Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it.

You can click on the above quote to go to the longer story but the more portions of this incredibly pork laden appropriations bill masquerading as stimulus come to light the more quickly the public opinion erodes.

Something also not well reported is that the job approval rating for President Obama has dropped by 20 points.

Some of you might know that the president that came into office with the highest approval rating in modern history was Jimmy Carter. A very similar type of public opinion (minus the liberal guilt) propelled him into office so the historical precedent bears some watching.
