Protesters trying to block the Palin motorcade on Monday were moved swiftly and safely out of the way by GJPD officers and are going to be prosecuted-not because of political views but poor judgement.

Trying to stop any presidential motorcade given the security concerns in today's uncertain environment is a calculated gamble. The decision to engage in civil disobedience has traditionally carried the price of arrest since civil disobedience almost by definition involves breaking the law.
The police's fairly mild and swift response of course brings up the true colors in some commentators, as we can see from some excerpts on the KKCO website featuring the video.
For instance:"...Stop trampleing (sic) first amendment right's, Typical Jack Booted Thug cops." A couple of these posters claim to have some relationship to the protesters.
We will let you draw your own conclusions. In this writer's opinion the police actions were swift, appropriate and measured.
And I would say the same thing if it was a Biden motorcade they were trying to stop.
