Astute readers of Grand Junction's newspaper, the Daily Sentinel will note in today's edition an apparent endorsement of Commissioner Janet Rowland's primary opponent by a weekly columnist.
The endorser who is a "Director at Large" for the Western Colorado Congress; based on policy positions should be more affiliated with a left leaning Democrat candidate.
(By the way I am now adopting the title "Editor without Portfolio".)
Nothing wrong there and everyone is certainly entitled to an opinion and this one is well written. We are just a bit surprised by such a prominent member of this organization speaking so glowingly of a Republican challenger.
Let's remember, to the Western Colorado Congress -- Republicans sit to the left of the Devil and slightly to the right of the internal combustion engine.
Given recent comments by the challenger concerning local Republicans, perhaps the endorsement is appropriate after all.
