Representative Kathleen Curry Discovers Issue Oriented Amnesia -- Original Actions Become Hazy and Forgotten by Present Outcomes -- Shocking Discovery

In the face of the rising tide of industry, business and people who enjoy a regular paycheck resisting crushing regulation to the energy industry, Representative Curry, a major proponent of such regulation -- forgot that was her intention.

In this quote from today's 9News in Denver we get: "Curry says she thinks the rules proposed by the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to carry out that mandate exceed what the Legislature had in mind." Click on quote to go to story.

Anyone following this push to have appointees do the dirty work on behalf of the elected representatives special interest groups know exactly what the representative's position has been on these topics; and it has hardly been industry or jobs friendly.

For instance: "“I’m not going to let them off the hook. Every year that I serve I’m going to keep after this until I get it done,” Curry said." From the Glenwood Post Independent in August of 2006, click on quote for full story

Other examples of her relentless hunting of the energy industry are replete but now that organized opposition to such a position is taking shape, memory becomes a bit more... hazy.

This is all in the face of her concerns about legislative pay (it's not enough) and term limits (they on the other hand, are too short) click here to read the story from another August 2006 story discussing these heart rending issues.
