In News of the Intuitively Obvious -- State Treasurer Admits Mill Levy Freeze Raises Taxes!


This week in Denver as, many of you know, the trial over whether or not the Governor and Legislature's mill Levy freeze is an unconstitutional tax increase is proceeding.

Also this week the State Treasurer admitted that the functional result of freezing the mill Levy was a tax increase for property both commercial and residential. Read the Rocky Mountain News story here.


GOP leader Andy McElhany offered the following trenchant observation in the Colorado Senate News; "Apparently, it took a Bible and a witness stand to get the governor and his allies to admit their tax hike is, in fact, a tax hike,..."


The trial should conclude this week with closing arguments on Friday morning. A decision is hoped for in around four weeks.
