One Trick Pony Repeatedly Performs Same Trick; Bored Audience Asks Pony to Return To Stable

Ersatz County Commissioner candidate David Kearsley's recent letter to the Daily Sentinel which can be found here, only serves to further highlight the lack of depth to his quest for public office.

His constant lament seems to revolve around the oil and gas industry, beginning of course, with his own issues concerning mineral rights.

Mr. Kearsley seems totally unaware that energy policy is only a part and actually a small part of what the Board of County Commissioners are responsible.

It is unclear if this relative newcomer to the area is even aware of the location of the Sheriff's Department, Health and Human Services or the Road and Bridge Department.

He has apparently maintained that he is not a single issue candidate but has yet to demonstrate such, we suspect this is motivated out of some reluctance to go head-to-head with his hoped-for primary opponent, who has quite conversant knowledge of the entire county operation.

We are certain that there are those who are interested in his personal issues with mineral leasing, which has now expanded to energy policy but so far Mr. Kearsley's lack of engagement on any other issue demonstrates either a lack of interest or knowledge- either make a poor recommendation for this important and multifaceted public office.
