House Speaker Not Sure West Economic Growth isn't "Mixed Blessing"- He Wants the Tax Revenue; We Want to Keep Our Jobs-You Know, Mixed
I noticed that House Speaker Andrew Romanoff was quoted in Political Notebook, as saying the oil and gas boom was a mixed blessing. I suppose if you represent Denver it probably seems that way.
Mostly because we have a decent economy over here and now can and will influence state policy. I am sure Mr. Romanoff does long for the days when the legislature could just take the water and revenue streams from the west and forget about us.

They do love to tax the producers though, although I am at a loss as to what they have produced. Let's check out andrewromanoff.com and see!
Bachelor's degree at Yale, master's degree in public policy at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He is completing a law degree at the University of Denver. He now teaches Political Science at the Community College of Aurora.
Okay, so no meeting a payroll there, just more government-
I guess it is like an old neighbor used to say "that little fella needs to stay in the feedlot he wasn't bred for the range."
