Airline expands to accommodate demand from energy industry-Will enviro groups seek study?


American Airlines announced today that it would be initiating flights from Grand Junction to Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, they conversely will also be initiating flights from those locations to Grand Junction. One reason for the flights cited was the demand from those locations originating in the energy industry. Local anti-prosperity groups have yet to weigh in on the serious environmental effects of transporting oil and gas executives into the area. The question of whether or not an environmental impact statement should be requested prior to the transportation of these suspicious elements into the area remains open. Access to area for companies that pay good wages seen as blow to attempt to keep young people employed in service industry and as "sherpas" for wealthy out of state activists.
