6% Pay Disparity between Private and Public Workers -- Ritter has added 4400 State Employees since 2007 And Hired $146K Chief Operating Officer

If you look at some of the above headlines you'd think the state of Colorado was doing pretty darn well. Unfortunately this is not true, only a few are doing well and many are the ones on Friends of Bill list.

Friends of Bill Ritter include public employees at the top of the list. If you wonder about the pay grade you can look at the legislative pay study by clicking here to note that state employees are averaging about 6% better pay than private sector employees doing the same work.

The good news (for a few) is that there's a lot more state employees than there were when Bill Ritter took office.

And now that Bill has received some stimulus money he seems too busy managing these employees to oversee it so has decided in this time of largess i to create a bureaucratic position of chief operating officer to oversee the expenditure of the money from the stimulus-to the tune of $146,000 per year. You can read about that by clicking on this paragraph. Clearly the first thing that this new individual should do is examine his position and immediately eliminate it.

Poor Bill, we know the stress of running the state is just too much for him. Thank God he has the cash to hire someone to do it.
