Mesa County Tea Party Resounding Success -- Organizers Run Out Of Sign-Up Sheets

The pictures you're looking at here were taken at the tea party in Grand Junction's Lincoln Park and don't really convey the size of the event.

The organizers had sign up sheets for 3000 and filled them up with people still coming.

The 912 project meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday night had well over 220 people attend, many of whom had been at the tea party earlier in the day.

This was an impressive showing as it was billed as an educational presentation for radio personality Glenn Beck's project to try and get citizens to learn the basics of our country's founding and its mechanics of operation.

All in all a great day for conservatives on the Western Slope and one that I was proud to be asked to speak at both events.
